I don't really know much about synthetics but I was thinking of going with that or some kind of high milage oil. I don't know what brand the people before me used but it was 10w-30. My car is a 99 LX automatic with 103,000 miles. The owner's manual recommends 5w-30 but it never gets that cold around here so 10w-30 is fine I just don't know about all my options. Thanks all.

I go with 5w30 too. That's what Honda recommends for the car... that's what I put in. As for brand... I just use whatever I feel like getting at the time.

isn't it kinda late to start using synthetic oils if your engine is 100K+?

I would stick with conventional. If that's all it ran on till now.
