Why did you post this link? It talks about what filter to use and not to use. It doesn't say anything about what motor oil to use and what weight.

"What are you feeling Lance, 30weight, 40weight?" "40 seems good" FNF1 ftw. Ok sorry.
DONT double the filter by accident.. that was the point ;)

if you read the thread.. it talks about him doubling the filter.. and causing the failure..

Get a quality dino oil, castrol gtx, chevron supreme & havoline are both great too for hondas lots of moly! If you plan on going past 5K OCI's or you beat the piss out of your engine you might wanna consider a syn. oil like mobil 1! I have run several oil analysis' on my car including one with havoline, one with gtx and at 5K the oil was still in great shape. I use this stuff in my oil, very cheap and has proven time & time again to be very effective http://www.lubecontrol.com/lube.htm

I highly suggest one of these, just cause you use an expensive oil doesn't mean your engine likes it and is producing good wear #'s. http://www.blackstone-labs.com/free_test_kit.html

I run chevron supreme 10w30 in my em1 along with lube control lc20. My engine get's better wear #'s with this combo than it does with expensive mobil 1 ! If you do get a syn oil make sure it's a real syn. oil not a hydrocracked dino like castrol syntec, the green syntec is the good stuff!

Just go with Honda 5w-30.
What do you pay for honda oil? Honda oil is exxon superflow just with the honda label on it.
