Gutted interior???

How many of you actually have a gutted interior and to what extent is it?

I took out my backseat and trunk liner one time and I'm thinking about doing it again.

Here is my car without the cage being driven by stolle. Its not comfortable and its loud, but there is a difference in handling and performance.

I have an 8th gen and I ended up taking out the trunk liner, passenger and rear seats for now but I am gonna remove the carpet when more performance parts come out on the market. Oh and ill post up some pics soon too, when its light out.

Only my trunk is gutted. I didn't gut the interior and I don't plan on it. It just looks plain ugly.

no carpet pass the back seats... i take out the back seats form time to time but its so loud i leave em in do lessin the exhaust noise

i had mine completely gutted, 1 seat, no carpet, no console, no sound liner, no headliner, no a/c, no panels, nothing...looked just like io_303's.
truthfully, if its ur dd...i wouldnt reccommend it, there is some difference in handling but in a dd i would say leave it in man

Its a 50/50 thing. The sound is one dreadful thing and then the handling is better. I have my rear fully gutted and the trunk but I kept the front complete. I put the stuff on a scale and it took off about 40lbs but to be quite honest its not worth unless you put a cage.

thats what im trying to understand.

is the added noise and annoyance worth 40lbs? i find it hard to believe that 40lbs will make THAT big of a difference...

but maybe thats because i drive an 1800lb car from the factory...

well, my carpet is gone because it was too dirty.. When i replace it, ill only put in half of it, minus the front because its easier to clean than carpet is..
My rear door panels are off because I need to reupholster the doors..
My rear seats are gone because Im going to redo those as well
The trunk stuff is gone because I honestly didnt feel the need for it being there... Plus i can fit bigger car parts in the back w/o the cardboard insert thing so those are my reasons....
