now to spend some money on a clay bar and polish.

could i use a squirt bottle with water and soap as the lube for the clay bar???

u dont need soap. just use water. a lot of people wash the car and rinse it off if they use soap then clay bar it without drying it.

you can claybar anything that has a clear coat

No. There's not really a need to clay bar them though. The clay woudl stick in the texture of the sideskirts and make a mess. Wash them (remove them if you want to get them really clean) and then either dress them or dye them.

hey im gonna do the clay bar and then do i wash it and do wax? or do i clay bar and then straight to wax?

yea but i just wanna skip glaze and the other stuff . im gonna wash it, then clay bar then wax but do i wash it after i clay bar , before i wax it?

you dont have to wash it after the clay bar. I wouldnt skip the polish and glaze steps thouugh.

cause i got a show this weekend and recently waxed it so i just want to do a little clay bar and then wax! so after i clay it i can go straight to wax?

yeah. just make sure the car is dry from doing the clay bar before you wax.

you dont have to. you have to get the car wet to use the clay bar. so some people wash the car, dont dry it, clay bar, dry then wax

Let's go over it again.

Clay = Helps clean the paint; removes stuff from the paint surface.

Wax = Protects the paint and your detailing work.

So... this would mean you want to do which first then?

This is the order you do it in. If you skip a step, you skip a step (DON'T skip washing). It's still always in the same order though.

- Wash
- Clay
- Polish
- Glaze
- Wax
