Head bolts

I have d16y8 head bolts or studs from an automatic and i'm going to do a swap to another d16y8 head but its manual. can i use the same head bolts or do i need to get manual head bolts?

Should be fine. Id pick up some new ones though. Maybe if budget allows, some new arp headstuds.

yea im low on budget so i cant get arp's, but it would be nice though. im not doing any seious build here, jux something to last through the winter and transportation.

the only thing bad about reusing parts in the motor is that the bolts will expand and contract..so if you take it out they might not fit right the next time, arp or not i'd get new ones..d-series motor's are known for "head lifting" which is the result of bad head studs
