Press Release:

14 September 2009 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DUNNVILLE AUTODROME CEASES ALL ON-TRACK OPERATIONS
Long-winded Dispute Ends in Owner’s Deposition, New Management
-Dunnville, ON
Effective immediately, the Dunnville Autodrome regrets to report that it has stopped all on-track
activities in accordance with the wishes of Haldimand County and certain residents of the town of
Dunnville.

Sadly an agreement could not be reached between the Autodrome and the County on the issues of
proper zoning and adequate noise abatement measures. An Ontario Municipal Board ruling confirmed
the County’s position and ordered all track activity to cease immediately.

It was the Autodrome’s position that it was rightfully operating under existing zoning regulations and
that no excessive noise was audible from day-to-day activity on the track. Haldimand County
countered the Autodrome’s claim and further posited that the Autodrome was operating with callous
disregard to local sentiment.

In light of these events the Dunnville Autodrome is taking immediate action to remove and
replace its current operator, Lee Abrahamson, with new leadership. The focus, going forward,
will be on reconciling the County and Dunnville residents’ concerns with the facility’s daily
operation. The facility’s range of operation will be narrowed, including a total ban on race car
testing, to minimize disturbance to the surrounding area. New noise studies will be conducted
and, in consultation with local residents, modifications performed to eliminate unwanted noise.
The Autodrome is an invaluable resource for Ontario’s motoring public by virtue of its educational
and recreational merits to drivers. In its five years of operation the Autodrome has taught countless
drivers the art and science of advanced car control in a safe and controlled environment. The
facility deters aggressive driving on Ontario roads by providing an outlet for safe, high speed
recreational driving. Every person has a duty to discourage street racing and dangerous driving
on our roads. The Autodrome takes this ideology and puts it into action.

The Dunnville Autodrome feels it a mistake to deprive the people of Ontario of such a resource.
Under new leadership and equipped with a new mandate, the Autodrome will continue its pursuit to
find a solution where it can operate in concord with the County and the people of Dunnville.
