i have a greddy evo 2 exhaust but when i put it on i didnt have a cat, so right now it is just straight through to the muffler. would it help my MPG or maybe HP to put in a hi flow cat. if so which one should i get. thanks
won't add enough to even feel it so why make your exhaust louder and smelly?? i'd leave it on, we dont' have a mustang where you can actually tell the difference, now maybe if your boosting then possibly remove it but that would be the only case, and honda's factory cats are pretty much a straight through design
If you install a cat it might just lower your power. If you don't have state inspections then why throw one on enjoy it before they start inpecting the whole country. I've never had a cat on my exhaust, I'm boosted right now but when I was n/a I still didn't have a cat.
i never noticed a difference on my honda other than the "high flow cats" from ebay... the stainless steel ones... make any exhaust sound like s**t. for example when i had my flowmaster i went from no cat to a high flow cat from ebay and it made it LOUDER and crackling ... then i went and took that s**t off and put a resonator on it from advanced auto parts for like $20 and it sounded nice and smoothe... personaly... i'd run a cat just because the only difference it makes is how much your hurting the enviornment.... IMO
