How do I Install Ground Control Coil Overs on a 2K2 Civic?

My friend wants to do it for me but he says he has to cut some "cup" thing off of my car to intall them, something about it being on 2 wheels? Please Help

haha, yeh pretty much all you should have to do is take the old spring out and put the new one in...(of course there's more to it than that. you'll need spring compressors to take the stock ones off).. but what i mean is, there should be no cutting involved. there's probably one of those little dust caps/covers on top of the factory spring which you would wanna take out, but it should just come right off with the old spring. :neutral:

anyone else agree/disagree? i'm no pro, so this guy will need more opinions than mine!

btw mods, if u read this, i think the thread should be moved to wheels/tires/suspension.

oh yeh, forgot about bump stops. all i had to do was slide mine off. taking them off my car was required tho, or else the ride would suck. dunno much bout 7th gen suspension tho. sorry.

Um my Ground Controls on my 7thgen went on fine with nothing being cut. Just make sure your buddy doesn't get popped in the head when he is decompressing the stock springs.

around 50 bucks an hour or so. it really depends. is quite easy to do.

I found out what he meant. Which coil overs by Ground COntrol you must trim the stock spring seat which will then allow you to slam your car completely. If not cut the car wont drop no more than 1.0 inch. www.ground-control.com
