How to: Walbro 255 in tank fuel pump
Car: 96-00 Honda Civic
Tools: 12mm Socket
10mm Socket
Pliers
1. remove neg batt cable
2. relese fuel pressure by open gas door and loosen bolt at fuel filter
3. remove rear seat cushion by loosen 12mm bolt in back of seat
4. remove 4 screws from fuel access panel
5. remove connector from top of fuel pump and fuel lines one is a clip and the pther is a clamp
6. loosen 6 10mm bolts around the top of pump housing in a cris cross pattern
7. lift out fuel pump at a angle
8. remove electrical connector and retainer clip on bottom next to filter
9. take of filter and disconnect hose at top of pump and remove pump from housing
10. old pump Vs new pump
11. take of removable parts from old pump put on new pump
12. put everything back in reverse order
13. reconnect plugs, hoses, make sure snap connector makes “clip sound”
14. reconnect negative batt terminal and tighten fuel filter back up
15. turn key on but don’t start car just prime pump listen for it working, then start car
