i need help with my honda

ok i just rebuilt my engine in my 2000 honda civic in rebuilding it i found that there was a older motor out in the car then came with it .. it has a D16Z6 motor now its marked P28 now i have been having some electircal prob otu of it that i have temp fixed like the wireing that keep draining the battery now i cant read the ecu in it no matter where i go to have it read i think the person who didi the swap left the vtec ecu that came in the car in it and put the older motor in it now what i need to know is do i need a p28 ecu for it just need a lil imformation on it

If your car is OBD2 you need the ecu that came in your car originally, cant remember which one it is off hand. Google d16y8 ecu. Where in MS are you?

The 99-00 ECU is OBD2b. So get the one that goes for your car, either auto or manual. If it's an auto y8, I have that ecu..
