i have a jdm gsr swap in my eg hatch, the motor has around 55-60 thousand miles on it. its been idling strange lately. it will go from about 2500 rpm's then suddenly drop to 1000...... but it will only do this like every other day, kinda wierd.....any input would be greatly appreciated.

I had that same problem a few months back where it would idle up and down cold, but after running for about 15min, it would stable. At first replaced the O2Sensor, the AirFuel Mixture piece... both fixed the prob for a day or 2. Friend suggested I spray some brake cleaner around my gaskets to find a leak while the engine is running; the car will choke when the cleaner enters the engine. Anyhow I found one in front of the manifold where the gasket was slightly torn. Took a day to put in an OEM gasket and it's been good since.
