Installing, uninstalling opitional ashtray in a 2000 Honda Civic SiR

Since I no longer smoke I'd like to free up some space at the front console at the cup holder by removing the opitional ashtray. I haven't found any instructions describing a way to do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's pretty easy. You need to take out the center console, glove box and the dash panel under the steering column to remove it. It's all screws and clips, just look at each piece one-by-one and it's fairly self explanatory how to get them out. The optional ashtrays are fairly desirable so you can probably sell yours for a pretty good amount.

Thanks for the info! I kinda thought it wouldn't be that big of a deal. And yes I've heard it's wanted by a lot of Honda owners!! Let me get the darn thing out and I'll work on selling it.
