Yea. Swapping the bulb. You can access it from the trunk.

Where I'm at it doesn't matter if the middle one is out since you're only required by law to have two. Mine's out on my DC4 and I haven't had any problems with it.

Not true.
3rd brake lights have been Federally mandated since '86 with all vehicles required to have them by the '88 model year.
If it's there, it needs to be functioning.

Not true...

The law states if u have a light that it must be in working condition.

If u have a third brake like then it has to work!
If u dont have one, u dont have to put one on!

And my 92 mazda doesnt have a third brake light.

Its just like some vehicles only have one side mirror... But thats a lesson for another day.

Guess the cops just aren't strict about it where I'm at :what:
I see third brake lights out all the time, mine was out on my civic for the 8 months I had it. I went all over the place with it and it was never a problem.

Sorry for the confusion then. Guess I should fix mine lol

The Fed mandate I believe was for only passenger cars.
My '88 S10 blazer didn't have a 3rd light either, neither did my fathers '91 Mazda b2200.

That sounds right to me.
