Looking for advice

I have a 2000 honda civic ex coupe.

A rod punched a hole through my oil pan
I currently have the stock engine (d16y8)

I want to do a b20 swap because the engine is cheaper than the stock.

I honestly don't know what the total cost range will be for a b20 swap
My budget is $2,000 roughly

Would it even be worth it to do the b20 swap or to just stick with the stock engine?

If i could sneak some extra hp in, that would be nice but isn't my priority.
I just need my car to run properly.
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Thank you

How do you know it's cheaper than stock?

You'll need to price some things out, a motor from a reputable seller with a startup warranty could run up to $1k, transmission figure $100-$200, depending on which transmission you get.

Here is a parts list...
