LS or LS-V, better for turbo setup?

Just trying to get opinions on which motor setup is better for turbo.

Depends on your budget and power goal. What are they?

Generally, LS/Vtec will get you better power, but won't be as reliable as a standalone LS. But if you get a very good tune, and as long as you're not trying for a s**t load of power, you shouldn't need to worry.

Some folk like just the LS for turbo if they plan on spinning high RPM's, or do the 'vtec delete' on a vtec B series engine. But a two stage cam will always be able to give good drive ability, and large power up top. Do some research and you'll find alot of different people who have gone different routes with different out comes. I completely agree with XpLOd3r, the most important piece in any build is the tune. I can not stress that enough. 22 lbs of boost, stock B18C1, is what my tuner drives. And yes hes drag races the hell out of that thing. Proof that its all in the tune. The black art.
