Manual transaxle fluid

Hello Sir or Ma'am, I have a 1990 Honda Civic DX. Manual Transaxle and I need to know what fluid to put in. The book looks like it says 10 - 40w oil is what to use. Is this the case?

Best regards,

Sandy

It looks like it says that or does it actually say that?
Which book says this?
If it's the owners manual, why would you not trust that, which comes directly from the manufacturer?

Seems like you already have your answer.

In the older model Civics the owners manual does state 10W30 motor oil as a replacement for Honda Manual Transmission fluid. You are good to go =)
