No Start Help!

I just finished installing a new alternator on my friends 2004; after getting everything back together I went to hook the battery cables back up and got a major arc off of the battery. There were no accessories on, the ingnition was off so there should have been no battery drain. The battery had been disconnected for 2 days while the part came in. After getting the battery hooked back up went to start and there was nothing....no lights, no accessories, radio etc and no ignition. Is there a reset or security feature I'm missing or is it possible that the ECU cooked? Any help would be greatly appreciated

check yo fuse box especially the one under your hood, there about 5 major fuses that arc could have blown
