We thought it was the safety neutral switch so replaced that but the issue remains. The mechanic at meineke says it might be the after market alarm that's going out that is stopping the fuel pump from priming? When I turn they key into the on position sometimes the little green box does not light up around the drive symbol on the dash and that's when the car turns over but won't start. After a few tries it starts again. Could it be the fuel pump or filter going out? Should I try to remove the after market alarm? Should I even worry about it? The mechanics checked the ignition and that wasn't it. I am kind of at a loss. Any thoughts?
