just bought a manual 99 honda civic fn clean and beautiful. but of course with all things good u must expect the worse. need some advice not a mechanic or anything close to it. soo,
the car is exhausting oil (almost like black powder) , no large dark clouds lil brown, white clouds/steam when at a stop though. engine has 270k miles on it, this local shop took a look just the leek and adv me to replace crackshaft oil seal(rear) and oil pan for like 700$. yeah no... but this civic is so sexy, at this point for almost couple hundred dollars more i can get the motor replaced. im thinking just replacing the motor for less mileage but would this fix the leak or would i have to do both? and anyone roughly know how bad is it to drive it in its condition, keep in mind im a broke 23 year old that makes 11hr with other bills, one step at a time riight? sorry for the bad grammar, its late cant sleep, need some peace at mind, thank you.
