ECT Sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

Is exactly what is means, I would change the sensor or clean it up check connection.

Are you serious? thats what it means? Well thank god you came along and cleared that up smart one.!!! NOT! Any ways the reason I asked was because my book didn't say what else to do to correct the problem. And usually the other guys on here will be a bigger help than you just were. Thanks for trying to make me look like a lame. But sorry about your luck it didn't work. LMFAO

this too is a lame statement b'cuz if u read what I wrote; it said that my book only told me the coolant temperature. (didnt I say that?) thats why I turned here to find out exactly what was need to correct the problem. anyways

if you take the PS off, you need to get a manual steering rack.
Is that real hard to change? and also whats the worst that will happen if I keep driving while the power steering fluid is leaking?(besides leaving a trail everywhere?thanks alot crystal
