So awhile back I drove my '97 civic to work, parked it and went inside... 8 hours later I came out to go home and the car just cranks and cranks will not start tho. Checked plugs, and fuel and can't seem to figure out why she won't start... sprayed starter fluid in the intake and she kicked over but immediately stalled out and won't start again... please help!!!

So you confirmed that you have fuel pressure at the filter?

Do you have any CEL's?

CEL = Check Engine Light. If it's on, pull the codes, as they provide key information as to what your issue is

How did you check the plugs? For just being fouled or for spark?

Check timing.

Check if the ecu is still good.

Check ground cable from tranny to chassis. If it is corroded, it will not start. Happened to my last eg. Replace a lot of parts. Ignition switch, main relay etc.. Found corrode ground, replaced and car start right away.
