anyone have any experience disabling the IACV with crome? how does your vehicle run am i correct when disabling the IACV function then the ecu wont even recognize that the IACV was ever there ? and your idle after warm up will be normal? but at cold start you have to idle it high till it warms?

i hear it's not 100% stable. i think it was abandoned or not even included in the newest versions. i'd only look at that as a last resort, try mounting and wiring an iacv first :-P

The only thing the IACV disable does is disable the code.

So it won't throw a CEL, but more than likely it will have a rough light throttle high vacuum driving. The symptoms are a slight hesitation at 1500 rpm or so.

It is always best to keep the IACV when all possible.
