The seller below makes a really clean relay wiring but I don't wanna pay 70 bucks and do nothing by myself
Link 1
Really good detailed step-by-step write up for the installation using the button sold by the ebay seller above

What the problem is I have no idea about the wiring
there are 3 main different wiring diagram I found so far
The one below shows how to wire it w/ a typical alarm
http://crx.hacki.st/starter-button.html

The one below

And the one below shows the wiring getting from the ebay seller

or are there any way I can just make the wiring looks and works like the DC5's one from jdmland.com...like getting the engine start wires from s2000 on majestichonda.com (couldn't find it yet)

Should I even connect the 12v to the ebrake light power so power is complete off when ebrake is off.
But then will I get the light for the button ?
How can I wiring to the relay just like the one sold on ebay because that one didn't wire the positive and the negative wire to the cigar lighter like diagram 2

Thanks

It still takes the same amount of time, if not longer, to start as it does with just the key.

can u tell me how does ur start button works on ur s2000?
like can u still turn the key all the way to the third position to start the engine ?
Does it grind the engine if u press the button when the car is running?
Can u turn the engine off by press the engine again...or u can only turn the key off ?
Does the button light up when u're drivnin ?
Thanks so much
I just want to make mine as stock as possible

There is no third position. In, turn once, turn twice, hit button
No grind if button is pushed during operation (I wondered that too )
Button is only for initial ignition, turn key back to shut down
No light in the button

I always used to want one for the bling. But I'd get tired of it after a while. Key is just easier IMHO.

aways thought about doing this, and putting the button in the oem hazards place, and putting the hazards to another switch

Seriously, what's the benefit of having one of these...even on an S2000?

Without it, you can't start the car. We don't have a third position for the key like everyone else

Plus, at the time, it was different. Now everyone's got a start/stop button.

I just called my local dealer
they don't have any individual harness just for the button, they have the whole set
so .....sound like I have to make it stock by myself
BTW, is that possible to disable the third position of the ignition
so I have to use the start button?
I know it's just some bling mod......but I bet it'll help me a lot on wiring since I might wire my own stealth alarm pretty soon

so you still have to have the key in the igniton in the s2k when pressing the button
Key in
Turned once for accessory
Turned twice for ignition or whatever makes all the lights and s**t come on
Third, push button. No third move for key like the Civic has.

When the car came out, it was just an added bling thing or whatever you want to call it, it was different.

But for a car that has a normal ignition, to switch to this, I don't think it'll really be worth the time. :what:
