Short story...
I bought that EG3 (D13B2) for bargain 80 pounds - the engine was damaged (timing belt snap..), radiator and a few other bits and bobs was missing...

I should mention that I’m not a car mechanic, and all I know at the moment learned on that EG. Also.. all I have done I did on my one (except head skimming – later about that..) So… the beginning was quite tough, didn't have a clue what I'm doing, and where to start...

Any way.. after many hours I managed to replace timing belt, install new radiator and fire up for the first time. That the tired but proud and happy mong face:

Then went try it, weigh it, run on dyno, and there comes suprise... My D13 (120000miles on the clock) push the stock power!!
Power: 74,2bhp @ 6015rpm
Torque: 68,8lbft @ 4941rpm
Weight: 965kg (with full petrol tank) 0-60mph – 12,8sec
0-100mph – 39,0sec

I'll skip few month’s of work, thousand’s pics lot’s of swearing during the process… And there we are:

- 15mm rear anti-roll bar

BRAKES:

- modified speedo

- OMP steering wheel

Correct me if I'm wrong...but 80 British pounds is about $121 US, correct? If so...that's a hell of a deal. You'll be lucky to find a rotting EG bare chassis here in the states for that price...lol

It's looking good...Since this will be a track car, do you have any plans on power/performance? (ie forced induction, fully built N/A, Swaps?)

The plan is start SPRINTS in 1400cc class. The power now is 108hp already (standard was 74hp). The plan on power is use Vtec head (D16Z6) on top D13 block =) And that going to be N/A build.

Surprisingly she like it!! Yes my mom is awesome!! :D

i see you removed the yellow gauges? WHYY i liked them
Sadly YES i did :( I love them! but the rev meter broke down, and last days i didnt have time to make new one's...

Any way.. Just started new rebuild. The plan is... VTEC head ( Z6 ) on top o my D13 and weld in rolling cage!

So far I removed cylinder head and carbs:

There some pictures of the head after couple thousands miles hammering this engine.. Is to be hones no as bad as I was expecting, a bit of carbon...

Today removed seats, all exhaust and old leaking fuel tank..

Clean new one and painted:

Today... preparation of my cage in progress...
Trial fitting the rear part. As usual.. some obstacles, superficial wounds and lots of swearing... But so far only a few minor adjustments and the rear bit will be ready...
