Should I Modify My Stock Em1?

I came by a clean em1 with nothing done to it except maintenance work, a pretty complicated kill switch, and a pretty nice kenwood aftermarket stereo system. I’ve been looking into everything I might want to do to it, but I was wondering whether or not I actually should. Keep in mind all modifications will be purely for performance, I’m not going to do anything crazy cosmetically. More than anything I want to get forged internals and turbo it, but I might also want some better suspension, better tires maybe wheels, intake and exhaust, and a piggyback ecu for quicker Vtec engagement. No bad wraps, sprayed on body paint, massive spoilers, or obnoxious body work. As long as I keep it to purely performance, is this sacrilege? Should I keep it purely to powertrain and not touch suspension or wheels and tires?

I'd go ahead and do the suspension, wheels/tires and exhaust.
But other than that, I'd just maintain it, keep it clean and drive it, especially if the body is straight and rot free.
