If your pages are loading slow, getting hung up, etc..

If your using Chrome as your browser, Get the "Ghostery" extension plug in. It will stop all trackers associated with the site and other sites..

CC only has a few of them, but once you go to other pages, youll be surprise how much tracking is going on.

Again.. just a suggestion

Just as an FYI to everyone though, trackers are not necessarily bad. Most of them, like Google Analytics and other third party ones are meant to help boost SEO, and lets us know where users are logging on from, etc. For instance, if we see that most users are using mobile to access the website, we want to make sure we have a solid mobile platform free from bugs, etc. This helps us help you.

The "trackers" here and on most sites help improve the site - which is why Justin, the site admin, pays for them. Some do include advertisement banners, etc., and these trackers help show relevant ads to the visitor. You know how if you search for 'Jeep' on Google, and suddenly you get ads on websites that are Jeep related? Just like that.

They're not bad, nor malicious. Half of the trackers we use here are social media plugins anyways - these just help link your FB/Twitter account to the website if you desire, and also new users register to the site simply by connecting their social media account rather than needing to go though the whole registration / activation process.

:thumbs up

Ghostery was bought by Evidon. Who is Evidon? An advertisement company! Though they renamed themselves to Ghostery Enterprises.
They sell data back to other advertisement companies, FYI. They DO work, but by selling back to the ad companies, who then further improve their ads -- they're basically keeping themselves in business. I disapprove of that tactic. Others such as Disconnect to not sell data whatsoever.

DoubleClick - Owned by Google, are the actual ads themselves. Sites such as ESPN, MSN, etc, use this.

Again, Facebook Connect is not any sort of scam. It allows you to login to ClubCivic using a Facebook account. If you notice, a lot of new members usernames are simply just their actual name -- this is why.

Google Analytics - Helps get our name as well as TunerSports out on search engines. We use Google Analytics here at work as well - it's a great SEO tool.

Google+ Platform - Google+ plugin - nothing fancy about that.

Taboola - Had no idea so I did some research on this one. It's identical to Outbrain, and helps with website traffic by providing relevant ads. See my Jeep example. The Jeep ad that you see would be provided by DoubleClick.

Twitter - Twitter plugin - nothing fancy about that either.

Vig Link - What Justin uses to connect TunerSports to ClubCivic, ads-wise, I believe.. The Daily Deals, etc.
