Hi all. new to the site, well I just bought a 92 hatch about a month ago. Showed no signs of this when I test drove it, but now it's making this annoying screeching noise whenever i turn right. And when I turn the steering wheel i can feel vibrations, it only makkes noise on the drivers side too. Any suggestions to what the problem is? Thanks

Check to make sure the power steering belt isnt loose. Most likely your squeeling noise if it only happens when turning.

I dont know much yet on this particular platform but if your powersteering pump is located on the driver side then it might be contaminated with either particles or air in the system. Might have to flush it. And like whitecivic93 said tighten the belt spray some wd40 on the shaft and GG.

you could have a pebble stuck in the little metal thing behind your brake disks. Happened to my moms car once, she only got the noise when she turned one way from one wheel. Just a thought
