Transmission issue

So I have a funny feeling I have a bad input shaft bearing, or atleast the plastic cage that holds the balls in place is broke, just trying to confirm before I tear it apart as I’ve never actually broken one or input shaft bearing. The car will make a grinding nose at idle with the clutch depressed but goes away when you press in the clutch pedal. The transmission as well as the motor are built and I haven’t had any other issues with the transmission till now, can’t imagine it being broke but I don’t know what else could have happened. Happened after I did a new clutch. I did the work myself and check all the bearings in the trans, happened after about 500km of just easy driving to break in the new clutch.

Foot depressed on the clutch, hear noise = throwout bearing.
Foot off clutch noise = input shaft bearing.
