Hi, I am doing a clutch job on my 2004 Honda Civic Ex 5 speed manual trans. I noticed there is a splash shield behind the flywheel. It looks like it would be a pain to hook up when reinstalling the transmission. I also noticed that at some point in time it had rubbed against the flywheel. I've also watched some videos where they have left out the splash guard. I'm thinking about leaving it out and maybe making something homemade on the outside of transmission. Any opinions. Thanks
