Is it possible to run a turbo timer without a turbo??????

I was at hockey today, and this guy in a civic coupe parks beside me, he got out of his car, keys in hand, got his equipment out of the trunk, started walking away.... and then his car turned off.... :? :?:

I asked him if it had a turbo... and he said no..... :? :?

Why was his car still running, and then it shut off as we were walking away???

Can anyone answer this for me??????

there is no need for a turbo timer in a NA or SC car. its only used in turbocharged cars to cool down the oil so it doesnt harden or what now

i had a similiar thought to you when i had my JRSC. i know i do a lot of freeway driving so i thought i might put in a turbo timer and let the engine run. but is useless. if you are afraid and wants your engine to cool down just let it run for a lil bit then turn it off. no need to buy a unit for 100+ bucks
