What’s it worth?

I know this probably isn’t the right site to ask this but I was told to search civic forums so I was drawn here.

I have a 2001 Honda Civic coupe lx that needs a new transmission. Someone wants to give me $200 usd for it. Wouldn’t it be worth around $1,000?

Again this is probably the wrong place but If there’s a better site I’ll gladly go there. I just though you guys would be the experts.

I'd take the $200 and run with it.

3 points here:

It's an '01, not a very popular year, style or generation Civic.
It's an Lx model, not bottom of the barrel, not top of the line, not popular enough to command a premium.
It needs a transmission, that renders it pretty much non functional and will require a transmission swap.
