very good camera, if you have the S2, then the S3 isn't worth it, but if u dont, then run and get it, you wont be disappointed.

i have a fujifilm A345, i want somethign better. so the S3 is better then the S2 i assume

so what are the main differences between the Canon S2 and S3? other then one is 5mp and one is 6mp?

thats pretty much it, except for a bigger sensor(better quality pics), up to ISO800 (S2 does up to ISO400) and a slightly bigger swivel screen, nothing else really....

i want the 6.0 mp thing is bad ass. the s3 is 6mp the s2 is 5, th eone i have now, is 4.1

and i want to be able to change lenses

I'd get the S3, I think its only around $100 more, and I think the extra mp will make quite a difference, plus the black looks way better

my opinion is..... if you want the 'Powershot S' series and dont have the S2, then get the S3, but if you already have the S2, keep it, both are exeptionally great point and shoot cameras.
