What is JDM?

JDM. It stands for Japanese Domestic Market. What that means is, partsthat were built in Japan and intended to be used in cars sold in japan. The parts are different than the parts we get here in the U.S. Sometimes they're significantly better in quality, performance,or appearance. And sometimes they're just different. They are difficult to find, and they are expensive. JDM parts consist of either OE(original
equipment) or aftermarket parts made by Japanese companies such as Mugen, Spoon, C-West, Veilside Etc.

So what are some common JDM Mods?

JDM(OE) Stanley Sidemarkers that come stock on all civics in japan, is a mod that is fairly in expensive and easy.

JDM(OE) stanley headlights for the 92-95 civic(EG) and Type R headlights for the 96-00 civic(EK), and corners for the 92-95 Civic(EG), They cost a pretty penny but the lights come equipped with "Citylights" so you are able to drive without using the full intensity of the headlight.

JDM(OE) Tailights are highly sought after because they do not have the reflectors in the light housing that we have in the US.

JDM Clusters from the SiR are swapped in for the US clusters on 88-95 civics(EF-EG) And Type R, Mugen, and Spoon Clusters for the 96-00 Civics(EK)

JDM Wheels from Mugen, and spoon are highly sought after because they werte designed with performance in mind, and they are very light.

JDM(OE) Mirrors for the Civic is also a common mod, the mirror is slightly different and they come available with a power folding option.

JDM Hatchback spoilers(OE) are a very common mod. They are longer in length and contain a longer rear LED break light then the US models. Aftermarket Wings are also available from Mugen, Bomex, and Spoon

JDM Lips for the 92-95 civic are available from Spoon and Mugen
Lips for the 96-00 civic are available from the Honda, Spoon, Mugen, Body Kits by Bomex, veilside and C-West also available.

JDM Clock(OE) is sought after because it glows amber instead of white like the US ones.

EDIT* Heres some More

JDM(OE) Steering wheels. Civic and Integra Type R SRS steering wheels Constructed By MOMO, are a nice way to dress up the interior of the car. The CTR(CIVIC Type R) steering wheel will fit the 96-00 Civics, and the ITR(Integra Type R) will fit the 92-95 civics.

JDM(OE) Type R Seats. The CTR seats, designed by Recaro, are a big improvement on seats due to They are race inspired. The CTR seats fit the 96-00 Civics, and the ITR seats fit the 92-95 Civics.

JDM Valve covers are a good way to improve the look of the engine bay. Red Type R valve covers are available for the B16A/B's and the B18C's. Also available are valve covers from Mugen.
