Wheel stud replacement

I'm trying to replace one of my front wheel studs that sheared off. All the videos online just say to hammer it out, but the steering knuckle seems to be in the way (see picture below)

Is there another way I can get this stud off (without removing the hub)?
btw car is a '98 Civic Ex.

This is pretty basic.
Have you actually even tried to hammer it out?
It should hammer right out, it may be tight, but it does come out.
You have to think, the new one has to go back in the same way you got it out. You don't have to remove anything except the caliper and rotor.

Got the old one out by sawing off the head and hammering it out.
There's not enough room for the new one to go in, so I'm thinking of grinding it down like it shows here.

Would this weaken the stud or is it fine?
