will i have to get my rpm gauge reset?

i have just ordered a pair of 17" rims, and someone told me that my rpm's will be off and i will have to get the gauge reset.......is this true? and if so how will i go about getting it reset, can i just do it myself???

You're RPMs aren't measured at your wheel, they're measured by your crank sensor. He may be meaning your speedo gauge, but it the change will be insignificant if you go to the proper series of tire.

yeah you'll actually find calculator's on the web that will tell you how much you are off (speedo-wise).
