I wanted to see what the desire might be for a 98 Civic EX Sedan with $178,000 miles. I was in an accident and the hood, bumper and grill were damaged. I don't beleive any internal components were but will wait for the shop to determine that as it may get totaled out if they use new parts...

Would you have the drivers side mirror actuator? Or hood release pull?

Brake lights work and I had already checked the fuses as well. New cable reel is in and it fixed my horn, cruise, and SRS light after I reset it! That was just my problem but that is what fixed it!

My horn and cruise don't work and the SRS light is on. I took out my cable reel and bought a new one that I am installing today. I am hopeful that will fix my problems as I tested the old cable reel and it was no good. The cruise switch was tested since it was all apart and it was also good...

Autozone will not have it, I replaced mine on my 98 and got it from the dealership. There were 2 sizes so I took mine apart and took it with me because the dealership could not tell me which one I had and said this was the only way. It was like $20 and only took 10-15 mins and it was fixed...

Yeah I checked the fuse under the hood first and it was fine. Is there a way to check continuity on the reel?

How do I test my cable reel to know it is broken? I bought this car and the cruise did not work, srs light was on and could not be reset. Now the horn stopped working and I need it to pass inspection. I have taken out the cable reel already but don't know how to take the back off to look...

Do you have the drivers side mirror, I only need the actuator from the inside of the mirror. My power mirror actuator is the only thing that is broken. :( shipped to 78660

Thought I would give an update-I was looking for the oil leak again and noticed oil underneath the thermostat, upon further inspection I found it was leaking from the bottom of the vtec solenoid. You can not see it from the top of the engine but it appears that it is running down the backside...

So I checked the fuse in the dash, 14 and 25 I think it was and they are fine. I also looked under the hood and all of the connections are in place and nothing is unplugged that I could visually see. I also checked the brake pedal, I'm assuming the stopper I have read about is the one that...

Any ideas? Should I just buy a can of the dye to add to the system to pin point the leak? It holds some pressure, I tested it again with the gauge that came with the 134a and it showed about 28 on the low side when on. It blows cool but not cold.

I checked the fuse, the light on the switch does not come on with it out but does with it inane the fuse looks fine.??
