yes, it goes in threes. what was released as Final Fantasy II in the US for SNES was actually the easy version of final fantasy 4. the US release of "final fantasy 3" was actually final fantasy 6.

everything over here was just complicated. we didnt get them all, so the numbers were all different. all i care to know is that my favorite was our ff3 for the snes. i beat kefkas ass, f**king clown.

from what i remember, our 6 was horribly censored, but the one i downloaded and emulated was the original.

i also really liked 5, which was 2 for us USDM people. kain was a badass. never got to finish it though.
