So recently i just installed a new Sony Xplod deck for my stock one. So what i did was i bought a harness adapter and i soldered the color matching with each other. Except the sony had an extra blue and the adapter had 2 extra oranges ones. I plug it in and it turned on fine and was working, i tried the aux port and it didn't work. The song started to play but very small and then the deck shut off. Now i tried to connect it back but it won't turn on at all. The fuse was blown so i tried to swap another fuse in and it blew too. How do i fix this whats the problem?

Also when i added the new deck in, my speedometer is acting weird now. When i turn on the car the needles would start tapping alot and then stop. Anyknown cause of idea?

For the last pic, i did not connect or solder that blue wire to anything because it was extra from the Sony side. Also i did not connect either 2 orange wire from the adapter.

After i had sodered them, i connected the old blue plug that was in the stock into the adapter which is the small white part in this photo. http://i39.tinypic.com/11185mf.jpg
i did nothing with the larger region and just left it there, it stopped working and no longer turns on. Anyway to fix this?

The wires that i soldered together are:
Black,Blue, Green, Green w/black line, Gray, Gray w/ black line, Yellow, Red, Purple, Purple w/ black line, White, White w/ black line

i beleive the probalem is a short because what it looks like is you have not electrical taped any of the wires i would do this try it an see what happenes if that is not the problem then maybe it is the head unbit itself
