Basically when I got my car, '09 Civic EX, I had never had a car with TPMS. I put on metal valve caps not knowing the damage they would cause. They ended up completely sealing and I have now had to have the TPMS stems replaced with regualr ones until I can afford newTPMS ones. My main question is will leaving non TPMS ones on have a negative effect overall or will they be ok for a few months? I've read online that it effects a few things and the people at the Auto Center of Farm King also told me the same thing, I figured I'd better ask some more knowledgeable people before I get overly freaked about it. Also I apologize if this has been covered, when I searched TPMS all I got results for was people putting new rims on and about the light being on after replacing them.
