1988 civic hatch ef jumps in 2nd gear

just wanna know why that happens

to me it seems like it jumps and wants to die out because when its reving low. but when i give it more gas and revs higher it drives fine?

not sure how much ill b able to help compared to other CCs on here. but, to me it sounds like a fuel pump problem, if someone proves me wrong, ill delete this post. just my 2 cents

define "jumps" are you starting in second or are you shifting into second. what rpm do you shift at?

well it seems like it jumps to where it wants to stall out and idk the rpm because i dont have a rpm guage

and it does it when i shift into second, like im in second already and it jerks forward 10 seconds after i go into 2nd.

ah ok, btw a rpm gauge is called a tach or tachometer.

oh lol well yeah i dont have one. and i need to do an oil change. could that be the reason??

unlikely, maybe a bearing or something in the tranny, but like i said im just trying to help. im not sure if my advice will help or is even correct for that matter.
