1988 honda civic clutch pedal

My clutch pedal has been creaking and squeeking for about a year now and its starting to get louder. What's causing this. The clutch seems fine its not slipping or anything, but it does grab a lot higher than most other cars.

well is it just the pedal piece itself or is it the clutch itself?..because the pedal piece could just be loose or something...my guess is either its that or something else just needs tightened up...maybe just wear and tear due to high mileage

^^^Answers to these questions will get you the right advice. Also say what clutch pedal movement causes the squeaking and whether or not the noise happens only when the engine is running.

engaging and disengaging the pedal causes a creak, and it happens when the car is on and off.

Is the noise coming from the top of the pedal or from the engine bay?

Its coming from the pedal assembly itself. I can feel it when it starts to creak.

Start by spraying the squeaking part(s) with some WD40.
