Hey,

I have an 89 crx sitting on 16 inch rims on stock suspension and a friend of mine has offered to sell me some lowering springs that drop 2.25 in the front and 2 in the back. My tire size is 205/50R16, will I be able to lower it 2.25 in the front and avoid rubbing?

Thanks

The sidewalls on your tires are too tall. With a 2.25-2in drop, at full lock or under hard cornering I'm pretty sure you'll rub. You need a 205/40R16 tire.

Also, what springs?

Indeed, your tire size is a bit larger than normal.

205/45/16 is close to the OEM wheel/tire combo, and 205/40 is going to be a tad smaller but look like a lower profile.
