any other suggestions? In all honesty the set up is for my g35 coupe.. Which is where the clean quality sound factor plays a veryy big roll .. I can only do 10s.. Because of the enclosure size..

you know what they say, two subs are better than 1. If you want it cleaner, go with an enclosed box. personally I have a ported and I would go with Polk subs if I had the cash.

its a sealed box. .80 cu ft. in 1 chamber. 1 or 2 subs either way its .80 cu ft. its a custom box made to fit.

Type R's are some of the worst sound quality subs I've ever heard IMO.

Kicker is the same way.

If you want something that hits hard when you want, but sounds clean; you should be looking at 1 10" sub in a sealed box.

type r's sound like s**t in sealed boxes

they can sound ok in a nice ported box...

i assume that box is for 10's

space is def too small for 12's

if u want a clean hitting subwoofer, pick these up.

Remember to get the dual 4 ohm versions for a final ohm load of 1

Image Dynamics IDQ, hands down. It is unanimously ranked best SQ woofer under $1000 among anyone who actually knows something about car audio. You will be hard pressed to find an IDQ10v3 for $150 but its worth it. Kicker makes crap, their focus is on cheap noise, that's it. The Alpine is a decent woofer, but again, you can do better. I build custom boxes and I have done Type R 12 in a G35, I would rank it as only decent, but honestly your selection is not going to matter because I'm sure you're just using an LOC.

i planned on getting 1 type r or 2 cvrs.. but i did hear good things about the IDQ n they seem to be in my range for just 1 10.

i plan on using a LOC for about a month.. i haven't decided on what double din i want something from pioneer though. so eventually my sub and amp combo will matter.
