2003 Civic LX A/C & Accessory Problem

Last week I had a new thermal protector installed in my car and since that point in time I have noticed that the car accessories are now cutting in and out. For example, my radio turns on and off (also have noticed background noise with the car accelerating, have never had this before) while at the same time seeing random lights coming on/off within my instrument cluster. It seems as though it is far more frequent with the AC turned on and I've noticed that it also happens when the AC button is turned on initially.

Is this electrical issue directly connected to the thermal protector repair or is it another issue altogether?
