2003 honda civic temperature

Hi I have a 2003 civic ex with stock engine. recently did head job and water pump replacement. the car always had an issue where the fans come on and the temp gauge rises. I changed thermostat, tried like 3 kinds, temp sensor,, new radiator and new radiator cap. If I turn the AC on the fans come on and the temp drops. Any ideas? Any one ever had this issue? thanks

Have you thoroughly bled the cooling system?

I think it is thoroughly bled. How will I know? I turned the heat up and the system burped a couple times. Maybe I will try another temperature sending unit....what about fan reply? any thoughts?

Did you idle the engine with the radiator cap installed loosely until the radiator fan turn on twice and then top off the radiator and reservoir with coolant?
