2007 Type r clutch problem

Help?
I have just bought a 2007 Honda civic type r from my local Honda dealer.
When trying to select a gear it seems I have to push the clutch pedal through the floor and even then the gear changes are not smooth. Sometimes struggle to get a gear without the crunch.
Honda say there's nothing wrong with it. The release point of the clutch is also very low.
The clutch doesn't ride/slip under testing.
A mechanic where I work says the clutch is done and needs to be replaced.
What do you civic guys think?
If Honda say there's nothing wrong with it what else can I do apart from paying for the job elsewhere?

check the clutch line to make sure it is bled properly and filled. sound be clutch master cylinder problems. mine is failing on mine and I have similar issues so I would look there.
