What about this new system I heard them talking about yesterday where some cars are getting 80 extra hp. How is this fair? :what:

It is cool that they went back to slicks though.

The whole 80hp thing is interesting I think.
Im not sure what teams will be running this setup but its like a nitrous system only with the use of kinetic energy..imo sounds quite interesting lol thats just my opinion..anyway YAY FOR 09'

I watched some practice last night and am about to watch some of qualifying. Seems like a bunch of people are pretty choked about the gray area rear diffuser issue. Nice to see they are back to slicks and it will be interesting to see the new Kinetic energy recovery system

For those who dont know

"Kinetic Energy Recovery System". This is a regenerative braking device designed to recover some of the vehicle's kinetic energy, which is normally dissipated as heat during braking. The recovered energy can be stored electrically, in a battery or supercapacitor, or mechanically, in a flywheel, for use as a source of additional accelerative power at the driver's discretion by way of a "boost button" on the steering wheel. The regulations limit the additional power to around 82 hp for six seconds a lap. The regulations do not make this compulsory, and due to concerns about both limited performance gains and safety implications many teams are believed to be unlikely to use the new KERS systems for at least the start of the 2009 season.

Exactly, some teams aren't and some teams are, so its completely unfair. Either all use them, or all don't.

button is a good driver but he always seemed to have reliability issues with honda, he has only won one race, but i will definately be rooting for him this year. i am excited to see what he can do

in spite of the mechanical obstacles, he's pushed himself very very hard in the past. if he would've had a better car and better team, he wouldn't have had trouble the past three seasons

i concur with anf. altho my man is Felipe Massa. I think he was under Schumy's shadow for a while and is now a big timer. but my top 3 drivers are Massa, Barrichello, Button...with Rai coming in 4th.
