3rd gear crack

my 3rd gear has been cracking everytime i shfit into it in with high rpms. but if i double clutch then i dnt get this problem but i dont like having to double clutch its annoying and inconvient lol. i make sure i got the clutch slammed to the floor also wen i shift into 3rd. i got a catback exhaust with 2" piping also and run 87 regular gas in my car idk if tht helps but theres the info lol.

You need to remove the transmission, then take the transmission apart gear by gear to replace the syncros. It is a big job and if you decide to do it or have someone else do it I would recommend replacing any syncro that has become worn down which is probably all of them.

To do the job you need a shop press to take the gears apart and put them back together.
