96-98 Civic front end on a 99-00?

Curious if anyone might know if a 96-98 civic front end will bolt up to a 99-00 front end?

I know the reverse is possible, but I'm curious if anyone has seen/tried doing it this way.

I'm planning on buying 99-00 Civic in the next few months and I'm curious if the 96-98 front end will bolt up without too much modification. If you have pics, please share:

No rad support swap is needed.

P.S. that hatch is perfect

You shouldn't need to modify the radiator support. You do going the other way but not for this.

But to each their own, I guess. I used to prefer the 99-00, but the 96-98 grew on me. It looks really good if done right.

Yup!
I like the whole 96-98 front end.
I think the headlights(both USDM and JDM/EDM) look better over the cheaper looking 99-00 versions.
I like the bumper cover too, especially with fog lights installed, over the later version with the faux air ducts.

I've seen it done before. I like the 96-98 front end on hatches and the 99-00 on Coupes and Sedan but that's just me.
