Easy fix

I have a boosted 98 EX Sedan. While I was stationed in Kansas, both my rear door handles (external) decided to do the same thing. I assume you mean that the plastic guide broke. It happened during the winter, when my handles froze in place and I tried to open them. Anyway, I bought some OEM handles for around $15.00 each. I had to remove the inside door panels and loosen up the actual lock mechanism in order to get the bolts off and remove the handles, but it took around 45 minutes to do both. I hope this is what you mean and that I answered your question to some extent.

Working on anything inside the door is a pain in the butt IMO. I'm thankful I have small hands. Sounds like you just need new handles and they're fairly self-explanitory to replace.
